HIMALAYAN ECHOES: C.A.L.M. – Creativity. Art. Literature. Mountains. – 2022 is back!

And this time in its original in-person format after a pandemic driven hiatus of two year. Aimed at creating a space for

meaningful, effective mountain dialogue, the festival is committed to promoting regional writers and

mountain-related books, poetry and research as well as art, craft and farming produce inspired by fair

sustainable work ethics. As always, it spotlighted the beauty and joys of mountain life as well as its

challenges and delves deep into the cultural diversity and unity of the Himalayan terrain.

This is a gem of a festival, intimate, with local roots, yet drawing mountain lovers from far and near.

Himalayan Echoes at Abbotsford's first edition, evoked nostalgia, stimulated mind, reunited old friends and showcased new talent. Great backdrop.

As a Kumaoni I felt a sense of pride that this literature festival is creating a new space for arts and ideas.
